How can I be so despairing, when you are so full of joy?
How can I be so laser-like and you are so passively content?

Maiko from Avatar! Woo! This makes a bold statement in the shipping world, no? I decided to be brave and do a picture that goes along with the fanfic I wrote. There is a reason why Zuko's hair is short...I tried it the long Fire Lord way, but he looked kinda...ghey. So I said, "Screw it, I'll draw him smexy." I like his hair short. ;D Yay for fire lady clothes! She looks a bit strange in it, but I think it's because we're so used to seeing Mai in her normal togs. Togs...that's a funny word. xD Anyway, I did use a reference...cause I'm not that great at making my own romantic poses.
I'm one of those gushy romantic girls; I love the idea of marriage. Not just the wedding part, but the sacredness of what it was made to be. Two halves of one whole, the union of two souls. Pretty deep for fan art, yes? Dun drown!

Zuko looked better with short hair and because I liked with that hairstyle he had in Book 2, I decided to have him with short hair in my retconned continuation as ATLA, which ignores the graphic novels.
