Description
It started out as a feeling
Which then grew into hope
Which then turned into a quiet thought
Which then turned into a quiet word
And then that word grew louder and louder
Till it was a battle cry
I'll come back when you call me
No need to say good-bye
I love The Call by Regina Spektor. It's on my Maiko playlist. As a Zuko to Mai kind of song.
I am ashamed to say that it was been no less that FIVE months since I've submitted anything. And today, I picked up a pencil and began to draw with no real plan.
I miss Avatar. I miss Mai. I remain hopeful about The Last Airbender, but not too hopeful (if you know what I mean). I'm really proud of this. It took me about four hours to color and two or so to draw and ink. I am particularly proud of Mai's right (the one of the left) hand. It took a number of tries, but I like this one best. She's in another one of my more elaborate outfits, but this time you can actually see most of it.
Anyway, the idea behind it:
Mai might have married Zuko and, per tradition, worn royal garb, but you know that she still keeps knives. Everywhere.
Enjoy!
